💬 Frequently Asked Questions
💳 Are you in-network with insurance?
We are a cash-based physical therapy practice, which means we are not in-network with any insurance companies. This model allows us to provide one-on-one care without restrictions on time, frequency, or treatment techniques. We focus entirely on what’s best for your child — not what’s reimbursed by insurance.
That said, many families are able to receive partial or full reimbursement for out-of-network care. We are happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) with all necessary codes to submit a claim.
📞 What questions should I ask my insurance company about out-of-network benefits?
Here’s a helpful list to guide your conversation with your insurance provider:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for physical therapy?
Is there an out-of-network deductible? If so, how much and how much has been met?
What percentage of the visit cost is reimbursed? (Common: 60%, 80%, 90%)
Is reimbursement reduced for using a non-preferred provider?
Is a physician referral or prescription required?
Does my plan require pre-authorization or a referral for outpatient PT?
Is there a yearly visit or cost limit?
Is there a specific claim form I need to use? Where can I find it?
Can I submit claims online? What’s the website?
How long does reimbursement typically take?
Are there any additional requirements for out-of-network providers?
📝 Do I need a physician’s referral?
Georgia is a Direct Access state, which means you can begin physical therapy without a referral. You may be seen for up to 8 visits or 21 days, whichever comes first, before a physician referral is required to continue.
We also offer health and wellness physical therapy without limits — ideal for clients who are not in pain but want to maintain or improve strength, coordination, and mobility.
🏥 Do you accept HSA or FSA cards?
Yes! We accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for physical therapy services. We’ll provide you with a detailed receipt to submit to your benefits provider. Be sure to confirm eligibility with your HSA/FSA plan prior to your visit.
👕 What should I wear to my sessions?
Wear anything you’re comfortable in. Loose-fitting or athletic clothing is ideal, especially if your session includes movement, stretching, or standing work. We want your child to feel relaxed and free to move.
We accept cash, checks, credit cards, HSA, and FSA payments at the time of service.
🌍 Do you offer telehealth services?
Yes! We provide telehealth for both Physical Therapy (Georgia residents only) and Wellness Visits (available worldwide). These sessions are conducted via secure video and provide the same personalized care you'd expect in person.
⏱️ How long is each session, and what’s the cost?
Initial Evaluation: Roughly 1 hour – $125
Treatment Sessions: Roughly 1 hour – $100
Most intensive programs include 2 hours per day.
🚫 Can you see Medicare patients?
Unfortunately, no. Federal law does not allow physical therapists to accept private payment from Medicare beneficiaries for services that are covered by Medicare, even if the patient is willing. If you have Medicare, we recommend reaching out to a clinic that is enrolled with Medicare Part B.
👶 Who benefits from Pediatric PT Intensives?
Our intensives are ideal for children with:
Pediatric Stroke / Hemiparesis
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Muscle tone disorders (high or low tone)
Other complex or rare diagnoses
If your child has hit a plateau in progress, needs a jumpstart, or you live far from weekly therapy options, an intensive program may be the perfect fit. Intensives are designed to give your child the focused time and support needed to break through to the next level of their development.
